Although I do fly when necessary, this is my preferred mode of transportation. I much prefer to take my home with me!
Consumed by Wanderlust
One of the stops on my only trip abroad. London
right before the 2012 Olympics. The opportunity to travel oversees thanks to being a Girl Scout leader. 🙂
I have always enjoyed traveling and have taken advantage of opportunities that came my way, but I have a long list of places I want to see and things I want to do. As I get older, I have realized that satisfying my wanderlust is a large part of my BEST LIFE.
Next week I will embark on a three week journey to mark various things off my bucket list. It will all start with attempting my first marathon, followed by a road trip to satisfy some of that wanderlust!

August has always been a month I look forward to. Maybe it’s because it’s my birthday month. Or maybe it’s because somewhere along the way, I stopped waiting for the perfect time and started saying yes to the things that make me happy. This year, I celebrates with a little bit of everything I love….
I wasn’t looking for a puppy. Really. I wasn’t. I had spent the last few years learning how to build a life I loved. I was running races, traveling in my RV, exploring new places, and saying yes to experiences I once only dreamed about. When I lost Babe a few months ago, I wasn’t…
Summer 2019 has been full. Not necessarily because of one huge milestone, but because of all the little moments that make up a life worth living. There have been races, bowling weekends, plays, time with friends, Royals games, and adventures with the people (and animals) who make my life better. Little did I know, but…
The trip started because a group of friends had a bowling tournament. I am not old enough to compete in the senior division yet, but that doesn’t mean I can’t tag along. Tournament weekend, the whole group headed to Ha Ha Tonka State Park together — crystal-clear spring water, moss-covered rocks, and a trail climbing…
September has been a little bit of everything. A little cooking. A little experimenting. A little time outside. And a lot of figuring out things I enjoy doing just because I enjoy doing them. Preserving Summer One of the things I’ve been having fun with lately is learning how to make food last longer. This…
By November, 2020 had definitely not turned out the way anyone expected. Plans had changed. The way we worked had changed. The way we traveled had changed. But even with everything being different, I was still finding ways to spend time with people I loved and make the most of the moments I could. And…
